Mia was in a rush, there was a special someone who was due a birthday present and she was on the hunt! She is a student from Los Angeles, now living in Soho/Little Italy. We spotted her down by the newly renovated South Side Seaport. She was there to meet a friend (after she had bagged the birthday gift) and was then heading to the iPic movie theatre, a luxury cinema with waitress service, sofas, pillows and blankets. Mia explained that she loves how clean this part of the city is. And Mia, we love your 'clean' fashion sense with the eco-friendly jacket by Unemployed Denim, that's what we call looking after the environment in style!

Arielle was spotted in Soho on her way home from work at Marc Jacobs. Her look today was inspired by colour, we love the complimentary blue against the gold velvet. She explained that she dresses like this all the time and likes to stand out. She's an assistant knitwear designer and when we asked her which brands she liked she said she was a fan of Balenciaga and Gucci and of course, she mentioned Marc Jacobs, she was wearing a few pieces from his brand.. those are our kind of perks! @palefacearielle

Meet Erika Jane, she is an artist who works for the "Dream House" in New York's Tribeca district. In a frenetic City where everyone is in a rush, the dream house provides a heaven. For a small donation, visitors can spend as long as they like relaxing in purple-lit rooms filled with the scent of incense. Sounds delightful! When Erika isn't in her relaxing workplace she likes to chill on the beach. Her look certainly has the essence of beach style. She's originally from Jersey Shore and now she lives on Rockaway beach so naturally, she loves to surf, she told us that she recently caught herself on an 8ft wave after the recent hurricane. And, just as in life, you can't stop the wave but you can learn to surf, cowabunga Erika! @erikajaneyo

Gussie has style and brains! And she told us that she loves street style...welcome to our world Gussie! She's a recent Harvard graduate and aspiring writer who names Alexander Wang and Isabel Marant as two of her favourite brands. Mark Twain wrote, “The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter. ’tis the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.” We're sure that Gussie's professors saw some of that lightning in her work and as for her style, her Instagram handle says it all! @gussierocs

It's right to say that Lauren loves a label, her designer ensemble was perfect for that day-to-night transition. She was dressed up and ready to spend the day with her family, first stop, some shopping with her daughters. Lauren told us that she has a love for all things fashion and we presume she's passing on that passion to her daughters too! After the retail therapy session, they were heading to meet the rest of the family for dinner at Public Hotel in Nolita. It's a recent addition to NYC, opened by hotelier Ian Schrager the interiors are 'luxurious modernism meets lush garden', and the inexpensive rates aim at luxury for all. Well Lauren, if the dinner party goes on until late, you and the family have options! @the_lak

We love how Kate gives a frilled summer dress so much attitude! She's is a DJ and a model from Odessa currently living in NY. And clearly, she has a flair for fashion! She was spending the day in Soho, shopping for more sartorial gems no doubt. She loves the restaurants and fashion in the area. We wonder if she was going to stop at the famous Fanelli cafe behind her. It was one of the gathering spots for the artist community from the post-war beat generation to those in the1980's. One of Soho's historical dining hotspots; this was a place where many creative plans were hatched. The perfect location for a post-shopping aperitif! @keyseeofficialgroup

Tania is a busy executive producer for Bobbi Brown the cosmetic brand, she was working when we spotted her so she was reluctant to pause for us at first but the but the word 'Fashion' stopped her in her tracks. Natural palettes are the trademark of the Bobbi Brown range but Tania likes to add some pops of colour to her look. She explained that she holds on to good clothing and she likes to re-introduce it once in a while. Just like her company ethos, it's not all about being the brightest and shiniest. Classic pieces will always last! @tstaykova

Lindsey is working ruffles, a detail that we've been seeing repeatedly in many cities around the globe. She's a stylist working for Intermix an online store that offers a curated collection from established and emerging designers. We are always a fan of shops that champion emerging brands! Lindsey is originally from the South Shore on Long Island; with an eclectic population, it is also home to the world-renowned seaside resort The Hamptons. Though she now lives uptown, on a New York summers day, the beach beckons and Lindsey is in a look that would transition perfectly from pavement to shore! @lindseybsimon

Milton is a non-conformist, he likes brands and style that breaks away from the norms. His look on this occasion was all about comfort courtesy of Rick Owens where he works in sales and merchandising. He was in Soho enjoying the sun whilst waiting for his girlfriend and he explained that it's an area that he will always love, we're sure he feels the same about her! When asked about wearing all black on such a hot day he said, "you gotta do what you gotta do." Go for it Milton, we love a rebel!

Alyssa was spotted in Soho, while we were photographing her we realised that her companion was actually her twin, so Alexandra jumped into the shot as well. They are from Los Angeles out and about taking pictures and shopping. And of course, beautiful cobbled Soho on the lower east side is the perfect place. The ladies told us that they love the fashion and the vibes there. They also have a penchant for streetwear, which they work very well! They were definitely double trouble, in the best possible way of course! @alyssapurrez
