We loved Piper's look, we spotted her in Paris outside the Centre Pompidou. She's from New York and explained that she's an independent curator of contemporary art and also a writer. 'Paris is lovely today, it's a great day to see art and people watch', she said. We were intrigued by her choice of hair colour and she told us, 'I couldn't decide between pink and blue so went for purple, I don't have much purple in my wardrobe so it always stands out and never clashes.' She was heading into the Centre Pompidou afterwards to see the latest exhibition of Russian Suprematism. Founded in 1913 this art movement focused on basic geometric forms, such as circles, squares, lines painted in a limited range of colours. We wonder if those artists liked the colour purple?! @piphilology

We saw Ricky Aiello on New York's cobbled streets. He told us he came to NY by way of LA when he was about 11. He's a singer-songwriter with an acoustic guitar and stories to tell and goes under the name of Coy Cassidy. He told us he finds that New York gives him all the tools he needs to write music, both culturally and emotionally. This year saw the release of his debut single 'Mesa', a song about reflection and fresh perspectives. His style inspiration is heavily influenced by the 70’s, Japanese fashion and workwear. "I get inspired every time I step onto the subway or out on the street. Fashion inspiration is in abundance in New York City", he said. Clearly, this city provides a stimulating home for Ricky in many ways, we can't wait to hear the fruits of his labour! @sunlungs

We spotted Esttrisi outside Selfridges. She stood out because of her style and stature. She is here for three months from the Dominican Republic. She was visiting model agencies in the hope of being signed, so we recommended a few and she was very grateful. Back home she is also a model. Of style she says, one must be stylish and not overly sexy. Her style inspiration is Tyra Banks the model turned mega-business woman who started America's Next Top Model franchise. Ettrisi told us that she loves Italy and often goes there to visit friends, there was a definite Italian aspect to her English accent! As for her muse, Tyra said, "I've always seen modelling as a stepping stone". We wonder if Ettrisi has her own plans for world domination! @esttrisicuevas

We spotted Barney coming out of a shop near Brick Lane. He was born in Barcelona, bred in Bath and has lived in Old Street for 5 years. He used to be a graphic designer and is now working towards a career as a vegan recipe developer for magazines. He’s been a vegan for 1.5 years and made this transition when he became interested in environmental causes which led to him eating more responsibly. One of his favourite places to dine out is Moro, the Clerkenwell restaurant that serves the abundant taste of the Mediterranean. Barney cites his parents for his food inspiration rather than any particular chef. As for his personal style, he loves to be co-ordinated at all times and admires RiRi. We wonder if his dishes are as harmonized as his style! @barneypau

We were drawn to educator Juanita's heels as she strolled about Nolita, she told us that she wore those boots for comfort, otherwise she would have worn stilettos, she doesn't do style by halves! She was on her way to a pop-up shop with her daughter. Brands she likes include Joe's Jeans, True Religion the premium denim brand and Forever 21; so she likes denim and a bargain then! Juanita loves to express herself through style and even has her own youtube channel, she calls it ' I am my own style' and she definitely knows how to stand out. Matshona Dhliwayo said, “A star does not compete with other stars around it; it just shines.” Juanita's style star is on the rise! @iammyownstyle

We bumped into Anders during his lunch break at a Turkish restaurant called Sheung Wan in HongKong. He's originally from Sweden and has been a resident in HK for 7 years. Anders is currently the Design Director at his own company Boris Design Studio creators of product design and packaging amongst other fascinating projects. Other undertakings include work to develop Stockholm as a smart and connected city and technology to help with body awareness and the practice of Feldenkrais a form of exercise that can help with pain or stress but can also help to increase your repertoire of bodily movements.
Andres is a true inventor, Edward Hopper said, " No amount of skilful invention can replace the essential element of imagination." We think Anders is gifted with both! @andersphellberg

It was hard to miss Nejilka as she walked through Spitalfields market. She’s originally from the Dominican Republic but now lives in Brixton and loves the indoor market there with all of its restaurants and bars. She’s a full-time model with Nevs agency mostly working on editorials for magazines. In her spare time, she loves to paint, read and go to galleries. She was pleased to inform us that she had just worked on a Rimmel campaign so we might see her on posters soon! Nejilka travels a lot and loves seeing different places for work, she also loves the freebie clothes she gets as part of her job; like this covetable coat. Arizona Muse said, " modelling is really silent acting." In that case, It's a wrap! @nejilka

We met Crystal and her huge bouquet on the way back from Columbia Road market with her friend. East Londoner's love to wander down the flower-filled street at the weekends to get their floral treats. Crystal is a textile student at UAL and loves the course, not only for it's contribution to her career but also her personal style as it influences her look; she likes to match her clothes with her hair colour. We find it fascinating, the interconnected nature of creativity, what influences us, how we produce designs and represent ourselves through it. Wangechi Mutu said, "I believe art is a connection, like passing on a flame." And Crystal's flame burns bright!

We spotted Andrea north of Oxford Street looking striking as she walked back to London College of Fashion where she’s studying fashion and marketing. She’s from Marbella in Spain and has lived in London for 10 months but she really misses the sunshine though it was out for her that day. Andrea has friends in LA and regularly travels there to get her warm weather fix. She is inspired by Oliver Raousteing who has been credited with bringing a fresh take on Balmain's label and she also likes Thierry Mugler. As far as her own style, it changes depending on the city and the vibe. American writer Anthony J. D'Angelo said, "wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine". We're sure that applies to Andrea but she loves to travel so if she doesn't find it here it's only a plane ride away! @andrea.mora

We met Umesh in Spitalfields market, he was very animated, explaining that he works at Camberry a tweed and tailors shop in Camden market where he helps with their branding. He was originally an interior designer living in the States and has also worked for charities and school projects there. Umesh is a man of many talents; he also has a fashion design degree from LCF. He told us that he can see the shift in fashion towards independent quality, crafted garments and plans to create his own collection of tailored clothes. He would like to use it as a vehicle to involve all ages from young people who wish to learn tailoring and design skills to old ladies to help with sewing. It's not about Umesh but more a chance to champion talents and let them free with their creativity. Umesh likes to give back and that's refreshing in a society that is all about the self. He’d love to be a mentor to young people; he's such an inspiring individual we can't think of a better candidate! @umeshtheartist
