Expressive Colours
Olivia is originally from Germany but is currently working as a physiologist in London. A physiologist studies the functions and activities of living organisms. On this subject, Alexandra Pierce once said, “ all human movement is expressive”. This is certainly true for Olivia as her colourful shirt and jean skirt show off her bright and vibrant personality. It makes sense that one of Olivia’s favourite brands is the innovative Maison Margiela. We hope that her time in London is just as fun and colourful as her outfits! @olivia_sph

Luminous On Brick Lane
We spotted Maria a mile away in her luminous green jacket. She’s from Mexico City and was showing her work at Graduate Fashion Week. She designs for men and women and is currently studying at SCAD school in the Sham Shui Po district of Hong Kong with its fusion of ancient heritage and western influence. She loves to wear oversize and mix unexpected items that are not supposed to work. Perhaps the cultural blend in HK is influential? But Maria hasn't always been a designer, it all started when she was studying animation and a chance to work on a music video sent her on a different path. In the future, she would love to work with Craig Green and Christopher Raeburn. If you want to get their attention Maria, wear that jacket! @maria.nava

Contrasting Worlds
Dominique was strutted confidently around Brick Lane when we met her. She was in town for Graduate Fashion week, working as a model. She's from Jamaica but has lived in London for the last ten years. But there's another side to Dominique; long-term she'd love to be a Travel Journalist. However, modelling serves her well in the mean-time as she's able to see the world. She writes a blog entitled Diamonds and Dandelions where she talks of her modelling and travel exploits. At times Dominique experiences contrasting worlds from the glamour of the fashion industry, to the reality on the plains of Kenya. Victor Hugo said, " Sublime upon sublime scarcely presents a contrast, and we need a little rest from everything, even the beautiful." We are sure Dominique would agree; it's the 'real' moments that make life most interesting! @tsmoniquedunn
